Transfer Bin: Chelsea to move for Liverpool's Suarez

Rubbish Bins

Liverpool and Chelsea to battle it out in the most preposterous transfer yet?
Yesterday we launched a new feature on HITC Sport, The Transfer Bin.
The mission statement is quite simple: The purpose of The Transfer Bin is to highlight the day's worst rumour, and explain why it's simply ludicrous/tear it to shreds.

The first piece of 'transfer trash' to be deposited was a stupendously ambitious rumour pedalled by CaughtOffside, that Chelsea are planning a £42 million bid for Sergio Aguero.

A Manchester City fan who commented on our piece summed it up best, "42 million for each leg plus £25 million for his head."

Now introducing the second scurrilous rumour to catch out attention, step forward French website Le10Sport.

Remarkably, they claim Chelsea are on the verge of bidding big money for Liverpool striker Luis Suarez.
Now of course a duo of Jose Mourinho and Luis Suarez would have the media and neutrals foaming at the mouth with anger, and the two antagonistic personalities could even be a match made in heaven - or the opposite whichever way you want to look at it.

Chelsea would have the finances to offer big figures, but even that may not be enough? Liverpool are far more likely to demand Gareth Bale type sums - and these are figures Chelsea baulked at this summer when it came to competing for Falcao and Edinson Cavani.

There appears to be little credibility behind Le10Sport's report; they reference The Mail's article about Chelsea looking for a new striker, and then appear to pluck Suarez' name from the air.
"Mourinho has not forgotten Suarez for Winter", their headline reads.

Well he really should, because it's one thing suggesting Suarez could move anywhere at the end of the season, when the dust will have settled on whichever league position Liverpool finish and the player can start angling for his preferred future move accordingly.

But with Liverpool in the mix for the Champions League places hunt, and according to Suarez even the title, letting him go mid-season is simply not going to happen, regardless of what happened once before with Fernando Torres.
It's time for Mourinho to forget this one before he takes it any further and wastes everybody's time.
