Evans: Moyes 'improving' Man United

Manchester United defender Jonny Evans believes manager David Moyes is beginning to improve the Red Devils.

Moyes’ tenure at Old Trafford has been a mix of highs and lows so far this season with the club still dangling outside the top five in the Premier League.

However, Evans said the players are beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel and after the 5-0 thrashing of Bayer Leverkusen in the Champions League, the Northern Ireland international has praised the manager for making a positive difference.
“The new manager is very tactically aware,” Evans said.


“He is definitely improving the team in the sense of how he wants to play and the tactics he wants.
“The things he is teaching us can only benefit the players.
“It is maybe taking us a bit more time than we would have liked but performances like that beating Leverkusen show things are knitting together a bit more.”

Manchester United currently trail league leaders Arsenal by seven points with Evans believing the long reign of Arsene Wenger at the Gunners is starting to pay dividends.
However, the 25-year-old is confident United can bridge the gap in a ‘strange’ Premier League season.
 “We haven't always led the league from the front but Arsenal are now in a position they haven't been in for a number of years,” said Evans.

“It is quite a strange league because everyone is taking points off each other.
“Obviously there are a lot of new managers and of the top teams Arsene Wenger is the only one who has been there for a long time.
“Maybe that shows.”
