Bookies: PSG lead Arsenal and Man United in Pogba race
International bookmakers list Paris Saint-Germain as favourites to sign Juventus star Paul Pogba followed by Arsenal and Manchester United.
According
to Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, the bookies believe Juventus
rising star Paul Pogba will snub Arsenal and Manchester United to
join Paris Saint-Germain should he choose to leave. It has been a breakthrough season for the 20-year-old who has been one of the outstanding players for the Old Lady.
Pogba joined Juve in July 2012 when his contract expired at Manchester United and he was allowed to leave for free.
Allowing the midfield talent to exit Old Trafford without a fee is a mistake that United look set to pay dearly for and there have been reports that the Premier League giants are willing to pay handsomely to regain his services.
However, Arsenal are also said to be interested and have the advantage of Arsene Wenger as manager - a compatriot of Pogba who is accustomed to nurturing young talent.
But according to Tuttosport, international bookmakers believe PSG will trump both Arsenal and Man United and secure Pogba's signature.
One advantage PSG have is their good working relationship with Pogba's agent Mino Raiola, who also represents Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
Taking a cross-section of international odds, Tuttosport claims that PSG are listed at 6/1 to get their man while Arsenal are 10/1 and Manchester United are 14/1.
The outsiders to snare Pogba are PSG's Ligue 1 rivals Monaco at 16/1 and European champions Bayern Munich at 20/1.
For the time being though Pogba has insisted that he is happy at Juventus - it remains to be seen whether he will build a long-term future there.
