The unsettled Toon skipper has reiterated his wish to play for San Lorenzo - and as soon as possible - dealing manager Alan Pardew a huge blow.

He said: "The club have invested a lot in me and I must show respect towards them.
"I have to speak the truth though - I'd like to return home as early as I possibly can."

Coloccini came close to joining the Buenos Aires club at the start of the year, when he pushed for a move due to unspecified family reasons.\

But when San Lorenzo were unable to put-up a suitable offer, Newcastle stood firm and kept their man.
Pardew had hoped that would be the end of the matter.
But Coloccini, 31, who has clocked up nearly 200 appearances during a five-year stint at St James' Park, has rocked the boat again, despite being under contract until 2016.

The fans' favourite has been sidelined with a groin injury and is set to return from a seven-week lay-off at home to Norwich today.
But that welcome news has been offset by the Argentinian defender's latest revelation.
“You never know what can happen in football”

Coloccini added: "You never know what can happen in football.
"In January we did all we could for a possible return to San Lorenzo - but I always made it clear that Newcastle would have the last word."

Meanwhile, Toon's No.1 Tim Krul is desperate for a quiet day at the office this afternoon.
Newcastle's £20m-rated keeper won rave reviews after his heroics in his side's dramatic 1-0 win at Tottenham a fortnight ago.

Chase But the Dutch stopper is hoping for an easier ride against the Canaries as Newcastle chase a top-six spot.

They are just three points behind fifth-placed Manchester United and looking for their third successive victory.
But Krul said: "It was nice to walk off with three points at Spurs, after playing the way I did.
"I'll be happy if I'm not as busy against Norwich though.

"We had a fantastic couple of weeks before the international break, with some great results at home to Chelsea and the win at Tottenham.
"In the last few years we've maybe messed up these kind of games and missed out on important points."
