Man Utd: Dortmund join chase for Benfica star

The Serbian playmaker has been linked with the Red Devils for much of the last few months, with manager David Moyes desperate to bring in a new creative player to the club to replace Paul Scholes.
Matic is just one of many reported transfer targets for United, though it emerged earlier this week that Benfica have lowered their demands for the player, having initially set an asking price closer to £40m during the summer.
This has also alerted interest from Dortmund, who are keen to improve their squad this January after a difficult recent spell, SportsDirect News can reveal.
Jurgen Klopp's side were humbled 3-0 at home by rivals Bayern Munich last weekend and are not yet guaranteed qualification into the knockout stages of the Champions League after an inconsistent campaign.
Dortmund lost a key player in Mario Goetze over the summer, and Klopp wants to add Matic to his attacking midfield options, as the threat of injuries looks like exposing their inferior squad depth in comparison with title favourites Bayern.
