Arsenal Face Competition From Bayern For £21m Rated Serie A Winger
Arsenal face an increasingly difficult task to sign Fiorentina winger Juan Cuadrado after it emerged that German giants Bayern Munich overtook the Gunners in the race for his signature, according to
The Colombian international has caught the eye of a number of top sides across Europe after his displays with La Viola have seen the side stay within touching distance of the Champions League places in Serie A.
Arsenal have been keen to bolster their attacking options thanks to the injuries of Theo Walcott and Lukas Podolski, and have been linked several times with a move for him, but it is now Bayern that are said to be frontrunners for his signature.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger sees Cuadrado as the ideal man to slip into his side’s attack, with Olivier Giroud being the only fit and reliable striker at his disposal after he made it abundantly clear that Nicklas Bendtner has no future at the Emirates.
However, hope has been afforded to Wenger by the fact that Bayern’s squad is already overloaded with incredible attacking talent like Franck Ribery, Arjen Robben, Thomas Mueller and Mario Goetze. Meaning that Cuadrado may not want to risk his place in Colombia’s World Cup squad by limiting his playing time.
