Milo Football Clinic ends in Abeokuta
The
annual Milo Football Clinic will on Saturday end in Abeokuta, the Ogun
State capital. Since Tuesday nearly 2,000 kids have been to the MKO
Abiola Stadium to be part of the clinic being coordinated by a former
Super Eagles captain, Peter Rufai. The event has held in Abuja, Benin
City, Port Harcourt, Enugu and Akure.
At the final in Abeokuta, the consortium
of coaches will present 32 finalists that will participate in the
novelty match while the winning team will be rewarded with scholarship
of N40,000 and N20,000 for the other side.
The Brand Manager of Milo, Funmi Osineye,
said the clinic this year has been exciting as most of the participants
are looking forward to the next edition.
Osineye, who spoke during the Akure
edition of the clinic said, “I am so excited that the final of the Milo
clinic has produced worthy champions for the future.
The aim of the clinic is not just to
coach the children with world-class football skills, but also to equip
them with key value like discipline, determination, respect, honesty and
teamwork to make them succeed in life. These values are essential
building blocks in raising a generation of future champions for which
Milo is known for.”
