West Brom offer Saido Berahino new deal as Baggies fear losing starlet on the cheap
The England under-21 star's contract runs out at the end of
the season, which could mean the Baggies could see him leave for minimal
compensation
West Brom hotshot Saido Berahino has been made a new contract offer in a desperate attempt to keep him at the Hawthorns.
England under-21 striker Berahino, 20, has been offered a four year deal to stop him leaving in the January window with Arsenal and Chelsea both watching.
Berahino, currently on £850-a-week, has already turned down £7,000-a-week but West Brom have gone back with an improved offer.
Berahino is out of contract at the end of the season which could mean he could leave with West Brom only receiving around £300,000 in compensation.
This comes as manager Steve Clarke's Baggies future has also been called into question after it emerged that Steve Clarke has yet to enter contract talks.
