Norwich boss Chris Hughton: No more Mr Nice Guy
CHRIS HUGHTON may be known as Mr Nice but he says he is ready to get nasty in order to turn the Toon Army's cheers to jeers.
But the ex-Toon chief would rather be booed this time as he is only there to guide his men to a win.
Hughton, who was sacked by Newcastle in December 2010 after three years with the club, said: "I'm not the most emotional person.
"But I have to admit that going back to the ground for the first time last season was very nice.
"It can be difficult when you go back to your former club. So I was very glad for the response that I received from the Newcastle crowd.
"I had been really looking forward to going back because I have a lot of fond memories there.“You are only going there for one reason - to get a result. That means everything”Chris Hughton
"But you can only really enjoy that experience if your team put on a performance and get a result."
Hughton saw his team crash to a 1-0 loss that day but was pleased with his side's performance. He said: "We played really well, even though we lost.
"But you are only going there for one reason - to get a result. That means everything.
"I'm not saying I want to be booed by the crowd.
"But I would certainly be very happy if it meant we came away with the points.
"So, hopefully I will enjoy going back much more this time, and so will my players."
