Team News
Everton have reported no fresh injury concerns ahead of their 221st Merseyside derby clash with Liverpool following the international break.

Defenders Antolín Alcaraz (hernia) and Tony Hibbert (calf) are both available after long lay-offs but unlikely to be thrown straight into the Goodison Park clash.

Striker Arouna Koné and midfielder Darron Gibson are long-term casualties.
Meanwhile, Liverpool left-back Jose Enrique has been ruled out with a knee injury which requires surgery so Aly Cissokho looks set to keep his place.

Striker Daniel Sturridge has been affected by a dead leg but that did not prevent him playing 90 minutes for England against Germany in midweek.
Captain Steven Gerrard is also playing through a hip problem but that will not be enough keep him out.
Match Notes
Roberto Martínez and Brendan Rodgers give the Merseyside derby a more youthful complexion, but whether they can inflame the passions of the past with their purist style of football remains to be seen.

Officially ‘the dirtiest game in England’ there have been 26 red cards in this fixture. Everton lead 17-9.
It would be a surprise if this game is remembered for robust tackling rather than silky skills.

Liverpool can go top, Everton can go level on points with Liverpool.
At this stage – for the first time in a while – there is more than just local pride at stake.

Stat of the game: Everton have clinched seven of their nine Merseyside derby wins in the Premier League at Goodison Park.
Chris Bascombe's prediction: Everton 1 Liverpool 1.
