Chelsea star Eden Hazard's TV blunder
JOSE MOURINHO yesterday revealed he only found out Eden Hazard had gone AWOL in France when he saw him on TV.
Hazard returned to watch his former team but then got stuck in France after losing his ID card on Eurostar, missing an important training session with the Blues the following day.
"He didn't tell me," said Mourinho, who has brought Hazard back into his squad for today's visit of West Brom after axing him against Schalke in the Champions League on Wednesday.
"I found out when I saw him on TV, when they kicked off and he was waving!
"When you have a game two days later you don't leave your home unless you really need to do it for
special family reasons.
"To go to see friends at a game is not a reason to leave that rest period."
But Mourinho did have praise for Hazard yesterday, for not being a diver.“I found out when I saw him on TV, when they kicked off and he was waving!”Jose Mourinho
With the controversy about tumbling too easily raging again due to the latest incident involving Manchester United's Ashley Young, Mourinho insisted: "I hate it. For Eden to go on the floor they need to kill him!
"Sometimes he gets kicked by one, two or three players, but he never dives."
Mourinho says if United lose at home to Arsenal tomorrow their hopes of retaining the title will be in jeopardy and he admits cheering for today's opponents West Brom and his former assistant Steve Clarke when they won at Old Trafford.
"He knows that every match he plays I'm with him and want him to win - except tomorrow," added Mourinho.
