Samir Nasri warns Manchester City that they cannot afford to let Arsenal increase their lead at the top of the table

Samir Nasri has warned Manchester City that they cannot afford to let Arsenal increase their lead at the top of the table before the Gunners’ trip to Etihad Stadium.

The north London side, who are currently six points ahead of Manuel Pellegrini’s men, travel to City on 14 December after home games against Hull and Everton.
Nasri, 26, scored twice as Manuel Pellegrini’s men beat Swansea 3-0 on Sunday to keep up with Arsène Wenger’s pacesetters.


And the former Arsenal midfielder has challenged City to win their next two games away to West Bromwich and Southampton before they host the Gunners.
“We have to recover now [following Swansea] and be ready against West Brom, we have to improve our form away from home,” Nasri is quoted as saying by the Guardian.

“We have to improve and mind the gap with Arsenal before we play them here.
“Now we have two games away – we have to show the same mentality and desire that we have here. We are a good team but we have to prove it away from home.”
