Flog your flops Moyes, says Peter Schmeichel
MANCHESTER UNITED legend Peter Schmeichel has ordered David Moyes to flog his Old Trafford flops.
Moyes is feeling the heat following United's woeful Premier League campaign so far.“What I think is really important to David Moyes is maybe not bringing players in, but letting players go”Peter Schmeichel
The champions have slumped to ninth in the table following back-to-back home league defeats for the first time since 2002.
United have lost five league games in total and trail leaders Arsenal by 13 points.
The gap could be extended to 16 points before United travel to Aston Villa tomorrow if the Gunners beat Manchester City this lunchtime.
The pressure is building on Moyes and now former Old Trafford star and current club ambassador Schmeichel has stuck the boot in by insisting the United boss needs to have a mass clear-out.
The likes of Anderson, Ashley Young, Nani, Rafael, Javier Hernandez and Tom Cleverley have all been found wanting this season.
He said: "I think coming up to this transfer window, it is going to be really difficult to sign any players.
"Who is out there that is available at that kind of level that would leave any club in January, unless you pay way over the odds?
"What I think is really important to David Moyes is maybe not bringing players in, but letting players go.
"It is very important he stamps his authority on the squad and some of the players who are not performing well enough.
"It would be much better if he brings one or two of the younger players through and lets one or two go."
