Laurent Blanc has revealed the Brazilian is fit to return to action in the Champions League this week and has warned his side not to ease off against the Belgians
Paris Saint-Germain coach Laurent Blanc has revealed Thiago Silva is ready to return to action against Anderlecht in the Champions League on Tuesday.

The Brazil international has been sidelined since September with a thigh problem but could be in line to feature against the Belgians after sitting out the weekend win over Lorient.

Blanc has hinted the 29-year-old could be thrown back into action on Tuesday night but warned both Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Edinson Cavani may be rested after picking up slight problems last week.

"Edinson Cavani and Zlatan Ibrahimovic are uncertain, but Thiago Silva is available," the former France boss said.

"Zlatan's is not a serious injury but it could be. This is why we are very cautious.

"Edi (Cavani) had a little pain in his thigh at the end of the match against Lorient (on Friday), but we will not take any risks."

Les Parisiens have enjoyed a superb start to their Champions League campaign, winning all three matches while scoring 12 goals, and Blanc has urged his side to maintain their stunning form and secure qualification for the next round.

"When everything is going well, we have to be wary of easing off," he warned.

"If we're not motivated tomorrow, then I don’t understand football anymore.

"With the right result we can be sure of qualifying, and potentially win the group.

"We had difficulties at Olympiakos, then we did what we had to do at Benfica and against Anderlecht, but we need to build on those results."

Defeat for Anderlecht would all but condemn them to a European exit after they lost their opening three matches, but coach John van den Brom has called on his side to make amends for their earlier defeat to the French champions.

"In football every team plays to win and that’s what PSG will do tomorrow – they won’t show any mercy for Anderlecht," he told reporters.

"After three matches it’s going to be very difficult for us to qualify, but anything is possible in football. It’s important for us to make amends for the first leg."
