Mourinho eyes Basel scalp
Jose Mourinho wants Chelsea to beat Basel
in the Champions League on Tuesday to ease the pressure on his men in a
busy December.
The Blues have bounced back well from their opening defeat to the Swiss side, with three consecutive victories seeing them sit at the top of Group E.
A draw in Switzerland will see the Stamford Bridge outfit secure their place in the last-16 of Europe's elite club competition with one group match still to pay.
And, with a busy December and festive period ahead of them, the Portuguese tactician feels a chance to play some of his fringe players in the final clash with Steaua Bucharest would benefit his squad in the long run.
"We are going to try to win and kill," he said. "We have so many matches in December that if we can have one less - and the one less is the crucial match against Steaua - it would be a help.
"In the end if you get a point you qualify, you have a point, but we have to try to win the game there."
Punters looking to use a free bet might fancy Chelsea to go on and win the Champions League with their old boss back at the helm, while they are also riding high in the Premier League as they look to win back the title from Manchester United.
