Man City: Midfielder becomes target for Napoli

Manchester City midfielder Javi Garcia has emerged as a possible January transfer target for Serie A side Napoli, SportsDirect News has learned.

The Spaniard has not managed to find his best form in English football, having signed for City last season from Benfica, and Napoli manager Rafael Benitez feels he may be a realistic option to bolster his midfield options.

The Italian giants have been linked with a long list of players in that position, with the likes of Javier Mascherano, Maxime Gonalons and Mousa Dembele also believed to be o Benitez's radar.

However, City may be willing to listen to offers for Garcia, who would likely benefit from the slower pace of the Italian game, whilst bringing in a transfer fee that would allow Manuel Pellegrini to bring in a replacement.
Fernandinho made the move to the Etihad Stadium in the summer, but Pellegrini is known to be keen on bringing in Marseille youngster Giannelli Imbula as another option in midfield.
