Eguavoen named Insurance administrator

State governor, Adams Oshiomhole has approved the appointment of a
former Super Eagles coach, Austin Eguavoen as the administrator of
Insurance Football Club of Benin.
Another former national team coach,
Shaibu Amodu, was named as technical adviser to the state-owned football
outfit in announcement made in an Benin over the weekend.
Others named to pilot affairs of the team
are the Edo FA Chairman, Chief Abel Ehigie, Charles Ihiemekpen who
will serve as the secretary while the Secretary to the State Government,
Prof. Julius Ihonvbere was named as chairman of the interim board.
Oshimhole said Insurance must be returned to where they belong, “not the lower league.”
He mandated the interim board to oversee
the transition of the club for a period of three months preparatory to
the appointment of a substantive board.
Part of their responsibilities includes ascertaining the club’s position.
