Rooney travelled to Ukraine but has not made David Moyes' match-day squad with reports suggesting that he was struggling with illness.

Meanwhile, van Persie returns to the United starting line-up after missing the matches against Manchester City, Liverpool and West Brom with a thigh injury.Moyes made nine changes to the side that lost 2-1 to the Baggies on the weekend, with David De Gea and Michael Carrick the only players to retain their place, with Shinji Kagawa back on the bench.Van Persie will partner Danny Welbeck up top for the Red Devils.
