MANCHESTER CITY have left David Silva out of their starting line-up for the Champions League group game against Bayern Munich.

Silva had been nursing a thigh injury and hadn't played for a month, but was named in the squad.
Micah Richards starts with Sergio Aguero partnering Edin Dzeko up front.

Pablo Zabaleta, who was City's player of the year, has also been left on the bench.
