Suspended Heartland coach set to learn fate
Heartland
will soon decide the fate of their suspended coach, Ndubuisi
Ndubueze, the Media Officer, the Owerri premier league club said on
Tuesday.
The club suspended Ndubueze following their defeat by visiting Kwara United in their league encounter in Owerri.
The management also placed the players on half salaries until further notice.
Spokesman for the side Cajetan Nkwopara told the News Agency of Nigeria in Lagos on Tuesday that the management would soon take a definite stand on the issue.
He said the club would continue to function with its schedule until a final decision on the issue was arrived at.
Nkwopara said, “We played without him
toward the end of the just-concluded season and it’s still like that,
but I’m sure the management will soon come up with a permanent solution.
“Although everything is still going smoothly in the club, we are just awaiting the management’s decision.
“It’s very important for the club to
start scouting early so as not to pick leftovers; so we have to be
prompt about the decision.
“I’m sure the board will come up with a
decision soon because this can weigh the club down and I look forward to
an early start to avoid struggling.”
