Tottenham hand Kyle Walker bumper new deal
KYLE WALKER has signed a new six-year deal with Tottenham.
England defender Walker, 23, joined Spurs in July 2009 from Sheffield United.
The right-back was voted Professional Footballers’ Association Young Player of the Year last season and has made 112 appearances for his club.
Andre Vlilas-BoasMeanwhile, £30m record-signing Erik Lamela, 21, is hoping to kick-start his career at White Hart Lane.
The under-performing winger has yet to make a Premier League start since his arrival from Roma in the summer.
But boss Andre Villas-Boas believes Lamela will soon flourish.
He is set for only his second start of the season against Hull in the League Cup tomorrow.
Villas-Boas said: “He is okay – we have been speaking a lot with him.
“He doesn’t speak the language. But we have been giving him massive help and his family arrives this week.
“He knows that he has not been producing half of what he can produce.”
