Bale training alone ahead of Barca clash
Real Madrid have told Gareth Bale to train alone so he can regain his fitness in time for 27 October’s El Clasico against Barcelona.
The Welshman has made just one La Liga start since his world record £86 million move from Tottenham Hotspur due to a recurring thigh injury.
Before his move to Real, Bale played just one pre-season friendly for the north Londoners – against Swindon Town.
With the international break now coming up, Bale will spend the next 12 days recovering physically and mentally and could make his long-awaited comeback against Malaga on 19 October.
However, SportsDirect News understands the aim of Bale’s express training programme is for him to be available to play 90 minutes against Barca – following the club’s Champions League tie with Juventus.
This term’s El Clasico is one of the most eagerly awaited in years, with Cristiano Ronaldo and Bale set to go up against Barca’s star duo Neymar and Lionel Messi at the Camp Nou.
