Lamela inherits Bale's shirt, Spurs' latest signings get squad numbers
Tottenham Hotspur have released their latest jersey designations, with a number of new recruits getting historic numbers.
Whilst the 11 will adorn his back when competing in the Premier League, he will adopt the 33 when campaigning in UEFA tournaments this season.
Steaua Bucharest defender Vlad Chiriches has been given the number 6 by Tottenham, but will take on 12 when playing in the Europa League.
Christian Eriksen, Etienne Capoue and Nacer Chadli have all been granted squad numbers as they take on the 23, 15 and 21 shirts, respectively.
Box-to-box Brazilian midfielder Paulinho, 25, bought from Corinthians for £17m, has been assigned the number 8 shirt also worn by club legend Jimmy Greaves.
Prolific Spanish striker Roberto Soldado, a £26m acquisition from Valencia, sports the number 9 which has also been worn by modern greats such as Teddy Sheringham, Dimitar Berbatov, Les Ferdinand and Darren Anderton.
