'He was unplayable' Martinez heaps praise on two-goal Lukaku
Romelu Lukaku, the striker Jose
Mourinho didn’t want at Chelsea, continued his sensational start to life
on loan at Everton with two more goals last night.
The big Belgian 20-year-old starred as Everton ripped Newcastle United apart in the first half to pile more pressure on manager Alan Pardew.
And Goodison boss Roberto Martinez revealed that Chelsea do not have an option to recall Lukaku.
‘You need to remember the strikers Chelsea have,’ said Martinez.

‘They are a squad that has phenomenal talent up front. Romelu is still developing and the next step is to take what he did last season on to another level. We are just glad that we can have him.’
'The first-half performance was so dominant, but you can drop your tempo a bit, and once Newcastle scored the first goal you can lose momentum and take risks.
'I was pleased as we controlled the game well enough .
We can learn from it.
'He (Lukaku) is strong and powerful, but for a No 9 to have that awareness around him - technically he is gifted.
'At times he was unplayable and that that means he opened spaces for others.
'We need to get to know him. In the second half against West Ham he showed what he could do and tonight he looked at home.'
Martinez was also impressed by the continued form shown by teenager Barkley.
'It's hard to explain how much he's growing game by game,' the Spaniard said.
'In pre-season he impressed and from that onwards he is getting better.
'He's a unique talent for an English boy. He has developed a good relationship with Romelu straight away.
'He's growing so much that if anything you need to take him away from the training ground as he's so eager to fulfil his potential.'
Despite fighting back to 3-2 having been 3-0 down at half-time, Pardew accused Newcastle’s players of failing ‘to do the nuts and bolts’ as he promised to make wholesale changes. So abject were Newcastle during a wretched opening half that fans chanted: ‘We want our money back!’
Pardew had sympathy with those who made the journey to Merseyside and vowed to take drastic action when Newcastle face Cardiff this weekend.
He said: ‘It wasn’t good enough. We showed a bit of pride in the second half, we won some headers and won some tackles and passed the ball.’
Goals from Yohan Cabaye and Loic Remy restored some pride and Pardew added: ‘It was important that I reminded them about the nuts and bolts of the game. I could have made 11 changes in the second half. We stood off them too much.
We have shown inconsistencies. They have made it easy for me to make a lot of changes against Cardiff. I still believe we have got a good chance of the top 10.’
Lukaku, whose loan keeps him at Goodison for the season, added to his late winner at West Ham last weekend by netting either side of a goal by Ross Barkley.
Martinez said: ‘Lukaku has everything. He brings a real awareness around him. That relationship with Ross was magic. He is a great goalscorer and the reception he got settled him. He was unplayable.’

Mistake? Chelsea could live to regret loaning out Lukaku for the rest of the season

Boy wonder: Everton youngster Ross Barkley scored an excellent second goal for the Toffees
