Cavani happy with wide role at PSG
The 26-year-old Uruguay striker insists he has no
qualms about surrendering his central spot to Zlatan Ibrahimovic - as
long as the team continues to win
The 26-year-old has found himself deployed on the flanks recently in an effort to accommodate both he and Zlatan Ibrahimovic in the same side, but the Uruguay insists he has no concerns over a position he has previously adopted for the national side.
"I enjoying playing out wide," Cavani told Sky Sport 24.
"Playing in a wider role means I have to do more defensive work, but I don't mind that. Maybe it effects that amount of goals I will score but that is not a problem.
"We have so many attacking players and we can all change positions during a game. At the end of the day, winning is the most important thing."
Cavani joined PSG from Napoli in the summer for a fee of €64 million, and has scored three goals in his first six appearances for the club.
