MESUT OZIL has been snapped for the first time in his new Arsenal kit.

The club unveiled the German international, who's currently with his team-mates getting ready for their World Cup qualifier against Austria, on Twitter.


They tweeted: "The first official picture of @MesutOzil1088 in an @Arsenal shirt! His interview is on Player tomorrow #OzilIsAGunner."

The move came after Ozil had said he was happy to stay at Real Madrid.

Arsene Wenger smashed Arsenal’s transfer record with the £42.4m signing of Ozil last night, becoming the highest-paid player at the club on a five-year contract worth £115,000-a-week plus bonuses.
And Ozil made it clear why he had such a sudden change of heart, telling the press: "I was certain...that I would stay at Real Madrid.

"Then I realised that I didn't have the confidence of the coach and the officials after all.
"I am a player who needs that confidence and I saw that I would have that at Arsenal and that is why I am going there."
