Moyes wants more from Kagawa

David Moyes has praised the performance of
Shinji Kagawa against Liverpool on Wednesday but says there is still
room for improvement. The 24-year-old found himself out in the cold under the Scot during the first weeks of the season but got his chance to impress against their Merseyside rivals in the Capital One Cup at Old Trafford.
The Japan international, who signed from Borussia Dortmund last summer, played his part in the battling 1-0 victory, hitting the bar in the second half with a rasping effort from 25 yards.
His future at the club remains in doubt with the player keen for regular action this season to secure his place at next year's World Cup.
Moyes said he was pleased with what he saw in patches on Wednesday, but was coy on whether Kagawa has yet done enough to earn a regular place in the side.
"He did OK. I thought he grew into the game a little bit more," said the Scot.
"There were bits which I was pleased with, and bits where we were looking for a little bit more. Overall, he's still getting back.
"A lot's been said [about his lack of playing time], but I think most people who watched would say he's still short of being really at full match fitness."
