Arsenal midfielder reveals favourite players as Topps Match Attax 2013/14 launches

Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere has named Steven Gerrard, Santi Cazorla and Wayne Rooney in his Topps Match Attax "dream team".
The England international, who is brand ambassador for the all-new 2013-14 season  of Topps Match Attax, the official Barclays Premier League trading card game enjoyed by 1.25m children each season.

"Out of all the current Barclays Premier League players, Santi Cazorla has a great ability to read the game, and when it comes to possessing the greatest strength and stamina on the pitch, I'd say Steven Gerrard is definitely at the top," Wilshere said. "Wayne Rooney is the most skilled Barclays Premier League player on the field and Theo Walcott definitely has the best speed!"


The 21-year-old midfielder will star in the leading collectible company's television advertising campaign for the new season of the world's most successful football trading card game, which launches today.

The latest collection comes with a new look alongside a brand new game-play format and promises to be the best yet, offering football fans and collectors alike a fun-filled accompaniment to the new Barclays Premier League season.

Every Match Attax card in the 2013-14 collection features player star ratings and a range of statistics, so collectors can rank the Barclays Premier League stars according to power, skill, passing, shooting, speed and tackling, alongside attack and defence categories, making it more exciting than ever. There are also the very latest players’ photos featured on the brand new look cards.

£100m super-squad

For the first time, each player card also features a player value, allowing collectors the chance to build their own £100m super-squad. The values will also act as an aid to help collectors trade cards fairly in the school playground.

The 2013-14 Match Attax collection goes on sale today and features over 400 cards to collect, including Star Player and Star Signing foil cards, stat-boosted Man of the Match cards and 100 club cards. In addition, fans can collect all 20 team manager cards as well as referee cards.
