Moyes gives the latest team news ahead of Cardiff including big injury boost

Vidic went off against Arsenal due to a nasty clash of heads and had to go to hospital where it was confirmed that he suffered from concussion and it wasn’t known whether he would be sidelined, but Moyes said that he’ll bring him back into the side so we should have our captain back in action.
“Concussion is something which you do need to rest. He’s had his rest and we’ll bring him back and hopefully he’ll be fine. It’s not a serious injury,” he said at this afternoon’s press conference.
Moyes also paid tribute to Ryan Giggs ahead of United’s trip to Wales and it sounds like he may start the 39-year-old in his home country.
He said: ”He’s an outstanding player and it’s a privilege to be working with him on my staff.
“I’ve seen something different since I’ve come here – just how good he is, close up – and it’s incredible.
“It will be great for Ryan to go back to Cardiff and I’m sure the supporters will give him a big cheer.”
With Carrick out and Fellaini battling an ongoing wrist injury, Moyes might be tempted to start Giggs in central midfield but with our crunch game to Bayer Leverkusen in midweek, there is every chance he may rest him for that.
Moyes also insisted that confidence is flowing through the team and with an unbeaten run that now stretches back nine games, United will go to Cardiff with morale at a high.
He said: “We came off a couple of good results and sometimes you want the games to come thick and fast.
“You can’t do anything about the international break, whether you win or lose going into it. We’re on a good run of form, we’re feeling good at the moment, we have confidence about us and we want to try and keep that going.”
If United win on Sunday, we will be ten games undefeated and the cobwebs of Moyes’ tough start to his United career will be blown away as quickly as they settled.
