Kaka to forgo wages at AC Milan while injured

Kaka has refused to be paid by AC Milan, for the period of time he will be out injured.
The Brazilian forward could miss a month of action, due to a tear of his left adductor muscle. Kaka picked up the injury during his second debut for the Rossoneri on Saturday and will not train for the next 10 days, before further examinations.

“As you will have read on the Milan site about my injury, it really is a horrible day for me because I did not expect this,” wrote Kaka. “I’ve decided to suspend my own salary during this period because all I want from Milan instead is support and affection to help me cure as quickly as possible.

“I’ve started physiotherapy today and your affection in these days will give me the lift and the motivation to get back onto the field as quickly as possible. It’s a difficult time and I hope to be back on the field as soon as possible.”
