City should be title favourites – Aguero

Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero is convinced his side are the best in the Premier League and deserve to be favourites to win the title.

 
The Citizens lifted the Premier League trophy at the end of the 2011-2012 campaign thanks to Aguero’s last-minute winning goal against Queens Park Rangers on the final day of the season.

They lost their crown to city rivals Manchester United last term but the Argentina international thinks his side have a better squad than the Red Devils and fellow title contenders Chelsea.

He told Gazzetta dello Sport: "I'm convinced that we're stronger than last year. It's going to be a tight Premier League, but we've got a good squad capable of winning. In fact, I would say we are better equipped than both United and Chelsea.

"United are going to be our main rivals, even if they have changed coach. And then there are Chelsea with Jose Mourinho returning. They've got a good squad, but so too have Tottenham, and there's always Liverpool."
