Cardiff transfers: Mackay lands Odemwingie

Cardiff City have signed Peter Odemwingie from West Bromwich Albion for a fee of £2.25 million.
The Nigeria international has signed a two-year deal with the newly-promoted outfit, having fallen out of favour at the Hawthorns following a failed attempt to force through a move to Queens Park Rangers in January.

The 32-year-old is yet to feature in the Premier League this season, and will now look to cement his place in the first-team at Cardiff – though he will face competition from fellow forwards Frazier Campbell, Nicky Maynard, Rudy Gestede, Joe Mason and Andreas Cornelius.
