Laurent Koscielny admits he would be pleased to welcome Mesut Ozil to Arsenal as the Gunners close in on a club-record deal for the Germany international.
The north Londoners are understood to have smashed their transfer record to land the 24-year-old playmaker from Real Madrid in deal reported to be worth around £42m.And Koscielny believes Ozil would have no trouble adapting to life in the Premier League and would welcome him to Arsenal with open arms.
“Ozil? We’ll see,” Koscielny told Le10Sport.
“The coach has been criticised by fans. We know that the club has money for transfers, but then there’s the desire of players to come or not Arsenal.
“Clubs discuss them and make decisions. Transfers are difficult but I have confidence in this group, we’ll see if new players arrive.
“We talk about Mesut Ozil, we’ll see. He is a world-class player, a technical player who can adapt to Arsenal.”
