Juventus hoping that they can persuade Chelsea to sell them outcast
Reigning Serie A champions Juventus are known to be keeping tabs on
Chelsea outcast Romelu Lukaku ever since he joined Everton on loan,
courtesy of a deadline day move in the summer. And latest reports in Sunday People
suggests that the Turin Giants may step up in their efforts to acquire
his services following reports of his rift with manager Jose Mourinho.
The Portuguese recently ignited the war of words between the duo by
publicly inciting the player to cite the reason for his move to Goodison
Park this season. Also, with Lukaku saying that he may contemplate
spending another season at the Merseyside club if they succeed in
qualifying for the Champions League and Mourinho retorting with the
statement that he holds the final say over his players’ futures, matters
seem to have worsened between them.
Juventus meanwhile, are suggested to be on the lookout to make the most out of the opportunity, with manager Antonio Conte eyeing a move for the Belgian, believing that he may have a good chance of landing him now.
The reports have come merely days after Barcelona had been reported keeping tabs on the youngster ahead of a winter move for him. Mourinho surely needs to gear up for a strong fight to keep hold of the player, especially with Lukaku himself distraught with limited chances at Stamford Bridge despite him being in scintillating form lately.
