Rafael hopes Manchester United boss David Moyes continues to play Danny Welbeck as a central striker.
Welbeck scored twice in victory at Aston Villa on Sunday.
"Danny has the ability to score. In some games he just wasn't quite in the right place but I wish he hadn't scored because I would have got the assist!" Rafael told MUTV. "But it's a good thing he's back among the goals.
"I think that is the best position he plays in, in my opinion. He plays well there. He runs a lot behind the defenders, and I hope he can keep playing the same there."
