Ex-Liverpool striker: I shared a bunk bed with David Cameron
Former Liverpool, Newcastle, Manchester United and Stoke striker Michael Owen has made a surprise admission.
What is the life of a retired footballer like? Well it isn't all punditry gigs and playing golf - even for Michael Owen. The former Liverpool FA Cup winner has flown out to Afghanistan to meet the UK's troops, a trip he should be commended for making; it isn't every day a rich retiree leaves their comfortable surroundings to enter a war zone
Owen has been providing details of the trip via his Twitter feed over the past 24 hours, and one message stood out as truly bizarre.
The thought of a Liverpool footballing hero sharing a bed with a Conservative Prime Minister is really, as Owen says himself... 'strange'.
Images of Owen's trip can be seen below... but fortunately none of him and David Cameron in a bunk bed.
