“I think he'll definitely go to the World Cup because you can play him like a modern-day wide striker”

The Manchester United and England striker is back in favour at Old Trafford following Robin van Persie's thigh injury.
Welbeck scored twice in United's 3-0 Premier League win at Aston Villa last Sunday and is expected to be crucial to Moyes' plans over the festive period.

But the United boss has revealed he's told Welbeck to put in extra work on the training ground.
Moyes wants Welbeck to take a leaf out of Wayne Rooney's book.

Welbeck scored just one league goal last season and Moyes said: "We had a word with him about a month ago and said he needs to be the last off the training field.

"Wayne's out there practising his finishing each day, whether it's taking free-kicks, shooting from tight angles or bending them in. Whatever it may be, Wayne's practising.
"I said, 'Danny, you need to be out there every day finishing, even if it's just 15 minutes at the end'."

Moyes, whose side travel to Stoke tonight in the Capital One Cup quarter-finals, insists Welbeck has taken the advice on board and is backing the 23-year-old to go to the World Cup.

Moyes added: "He did take notice and he's out there. He's a quick boy and all round I think Danny has got an awful lot of attributes.
"I think he'll definitely go to the World Cup because you can play him like a modern-day wide striker."

Olympiakos will have to close part of their stadium for their Champions League clash with United.
The Greek club were punished by UEFA for "the racist conduct of supporters, insufficient organisation, the setting-off of fireworks and the use of a laser" during a group match against Anderlecht.
