Rami FROM Valencia
Valencia defender Adil Rami has reportedly agreed to join Italian giants AC Milan on loan when the January transfer window opens, according to Spanish newspaper AS.
It had emerged last week that the controversial 27-year-old had been in talks with the Rossoneri over a short term move once the transfer window reopened to provide some reenforcement to their leaky back line.
It is understood that Rami met with Milan officials on Tuesday morning and that an agreement has been reached between all parties that will see the French ace head to the San Siro on a short term deal with an option to buy at the end of the season.
Milan will also take on the rest of the player’s salary, at the request of Valencia, until the end of his loan spell. Should the loan be a success then Rami will sign a four-year deal worth an estimated €7m.
Rami had been a target for a number of clubs over the summer, including Arsenal and Manchester City, who were both believed to be considering bids for him, but in the end opted out to look elsewhere.
Rami currently finds himself ostracised from the Valencia side after falling out with coach Miroslav Djukic last month.
