Football and tattoos don't seem to mix, displayed perfectly by the Liverpool fan who had Kolo Touro tattooed on his foot this week

Earlier this week, in a bid to console a Liverpool fan who had tattooed a misspelled version of Kolo Toure's name onto his foot, Kolo Toure offered to change his name to Kolo Touro.
The Liverpool defender also offered to have 'Touro' printed on the back of his shirt when he next played for Liverpool, and told the hapless fan that he wanted to meet him.

But the Kolo Touro tattoo isn't the worst offender in the history of awful football tattoos. Remember Ryan Pearson, the classy chap who had 'Kenny Miller, goal machine' tattooed on his derierre?

It's not just the fans either, Mario Balotelli and Stephen Ireland are the proof that huge wages don't necessarily buy you a decent bit of ink.

Mario Balotelli has a tattoo claiming that he was sent to this world by God as a punishment for our sins, and Stephen Ireland's tattoo of angel wings is hardly heavenly.

So the overwhelming evidence is that football and tattoos do not mix, and we have the photo evidence.
