Torres, Ba, Eto'o: Who will lead the line for Mourinhos men?

Torres, Ba, Eto'o: Who will lead the line for Mourinhos men?
So the transfer windows shut and the international break beckons; but Jose Mourinho will have a lot to ponder during the break. The Portugese star has a dilemma, who will he pick to lead the line for Chelsea in their next league game v Everton?

Jose Mourinho stated his desire to bring in Wayne Rooney, but a move failed to materialise. On deadline day ''The Special One'' farmed Romelu Lukaku out on loan to Everton, in order for the Belgian youngster to gain first team experience.

In Chelseas last league encounter; against Manchester United, Mourinho opted for Andre Schurrie to lead the line. A move that suprised many as the German is a natural winger. He was poor as lone striker.
Jose Mourinho since has since brought Samuel Eto'o from Anzhi, after realising a move for Wayne Rooney wouldn't be possible. The 32 year old from Cameroon has reaqainted himslelf with boss Mourinho, who managed Eto'o during his time at Inter Milan.

In last Fridays UEFA super cup final - Fernando Torres started for the West London side, and the move payed dividends as Torres responded to the Eto'o signing. He scored in the 8th minute with a sublime finish. Chelsea.

Demba Ba is another option - but the Senegaleese star doesn't seem to be in Mourinhos plans. Chelsea tried to offload to ex-Newcastle star on deadline day, and it is believed that Chelsea would of preffered to keep Lukaku instead of 28 year old Ba.

So for me it is between Fernando Torres and Samuel Eto'o in the battle to lead the line for the Premier League favorites.

On his day; Eto'o is an expert at getting on the shoulder of the last defender, accelerating away and showing great composure to score in one-on-one situations. Four times African player of the year Eto'o bagged 25 goals in 51 games during his tenure at Anzhi, but a Premier League is a step up in class. When Anzhi played Liverpool last year at Anfield in the Europa League, Eto'o looked a shadow of his former-self, playing in an attacking midfield role, at the Russians suffered a 1-0 defeat.

Fernando Torres, brought in from Liverpool, January 2011 for a British record fee of £50million has yet to his top gear for Chelsea. But his performances towards the end of last season in the Europa League, and over the summer for Spain in the Confederations cup campaign has given Chelsea hope. This coupled with his goal against the best team in the world last week is the reason why I would let Fernando Torres lead the line for Chelsea, for now.
