Monaco midfielder Joao Moutinho insists his side’s clash with rivals Paris Saint-Germain this Sunday will not determine where the Ligue 1 title will be heading.
The Portugal international joined the newly-promoted outfit in the summer and his team go into the match against the champions two points clear at the top of the table.
The 27-year-old recognises the quality in his opponents’ squad but is determined to get three points against the capital club.
He said in Le Parisien: "Paris is obviously our main competitor in the championship. This is a team already formed with great players who have known [each other] for one or two years.
"I also faced most of them last year in the Champions League with Porto. I know their value. But we do not have to be ashamed."
