Ryan Giggs warns rivals not to write Man Utd off
RYAN GIGGS insists it is too soon to write off
Manchester United's title dream and has warned Newcastle to expect a
reaction tomorrow.
Veteran midfielder Giggs, 40, believes United had been building momentum with a 12-match unbeaten burst before they lost to the Toffees for the first time at Old Trafford since 1992.
But the player-coach reckons the champions can still turn their season around.
"We'll get a better idea in the New Year, and hopefully we can start picking up points again," he said.“We're just not getting the rub of the green, or taking our chances when we should”Ryan Giggs
"We've had a few disappointing results in the last couple of weeks, but the performances have not been that bad.
"We're just not getting the rub of the green, or taking our chances when we should. If you don't do that, you are going to get punished like we did against Everton.
"It's a quick turnaround to Newcastle. We've got to pick ourselves up and not feel sorry for ourselves. We need to go on a run and get over this disappointment now."
