PICS: Arsenal star reveals Lukas Podolski's 'odd Japanese' language skills

ARSENAL star Ryo Miyaichi has revealed Lukas Podolski likes to try out his Japanese language skill with him at the club.

Lukas Podolski is currently back in Germany

The 20-year-old Japan international revealed his team-mate liked to try and chat with him using his native tongue.

Speaking during a Twitter takeover of the club's official Twitter account, Miyaichi was asked by one fan who his best friend was at the club.

He tweeted back: "We all really get along, but Lukas Podolski often tries to communicate with me using odd Japanese.
"It is pretty amusing!"

The German striker is currently back in Germany, as he recovers from a hamstring injury, taking the opportunity to visit his old club Cologne.

The 27-year-old visited the German side, who currently top the second division in Germany, and posted a snap to his Instagram account.
"Just said hello to my former club FC Cologne.. @fckoeln," he captioned the snap.
