Chelsea FC defender Keneth Omeruo said his sights are set on the return
leg of the 2014 World Cup playoff between Nigeria and Ethiopia in
Calabar on November 16.
According to his adviser, the 19-year-old, who has made a remarkable
recovery from a shoulder injury sustained during his last appearance for
the Super Eagles at the 2013 Fifa Confederations Cup, has returned to
training as is itching to lineup for the Eagles in the African zone
third round qualifiers.
“Kenneth is back training with Chelsea as expected,” Chika Akujobi
said. “ He has also expressed full confidence he will be fit for next
month’s return leg match against Ethiopia in Nigeria.
“Even left to him, he says he can play on Sunday against Ethiopia in
Addis Ababa! But best to believe he will be okay for the return match.”

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is expected to make his final decision on
the player once he’s fully fit, but Akujobi does not want to be drawn
into discussions about whether or not he remains at Stamford Bridge or
loaned out.
“The signals are looking very good for Kenneth,” the centre-back’s adviser added.
