Ethiopia vs Nigeria 2014 World Cup play-off: Ethiopia worthy of respect -Keshi
Super Eagles coach Stephen Keshi has assured that his players will not take their Ethiopian counterparts for a ride when they clash in Sunday’s crunch first leg final World Cup play-offs in Addis Ababa.
Though Nigeria are the reigning champions of the continent and equally boast of more established players than the Walya Antelopes, the Big Boss posited that the East Africans deserve some measure of respect having come thus far in their quest to make the Brazil 2014 World Cup party.
‘‘For them (Ethiopia) to have reached the last 10 for the World Cup play-off is no mean feat and we have huge respect for their achievement,” the coach told SuperSport.
‘‘It only shows that their game at international level has continued to grow and you don’t want to take such a team for a ride.
‘‘But we will play to our strength to earn a result from this game.’’
Already the Eagles as well as the Nigeria delegation plan to hit Addis Ababa this morning in time for Sunday’s all important duel.
