Ancelotti has defensive woes
Asked about the fact that Mesut Ozil has left the club to join Arsenal, Ancelotti said he was more concerned by the defence. Madrid have conceded eight goals in all competitions so far this season and Ancelotti sees this as a problem.
He said: "I'm very happy with the squad. I said 'good luck' to Ozil.
"I think we don't need Ozil because we have very good players up front.
"That's not the problem, we are scoring plenty of goals. The problem was the balance. We are conceding too many, for a team such as Real Madrid to concede eight goals is too much, so the problem is there."
With the international break also coming up, Ancelotti is hopeful that the injured Gareth Bale will remain in Spain to work on his fitness.
Ancelotti said: "I think he stays here to train the next 15 days.
"It's true we should co-operate with Wales but I think he will stay here the next 15 days and will be ready for the following match.
Bale has made just three appearances for Madrid since his record breaking move in the summer. On each occasion he has been sub or substituted as he still tries to find some fitness. Ancelotti said the former Tottenham midfielder is a bit frustrated at the moment.
Ancelotti added: "He isn't happy, it's normal.
"He was very excited and looking forward to play and went through a difficult moment but it isn't bad from a psychological point of view.
"When a player wants to play and he doesn't it is difficult, but he is alright psychologically speaking. He is calm because it's not that bad, it's a little problem he will forget very soon."
