Hull boss Bruce eyes £3.5m swoop for Marseille striker Ayew
Hull are interested in a £3.5million January deal for Marseille striker Jordan Ayew.
The 22-year-old has scored just twice in 19 games for he French club, but Tigers boss Steve Bruce wants to sign the Ghanaian when the transfer window opens.
Stoke and Everton have also been linked with Ayew, although the duo favour a loan deal for the frontman, who is on course to secure a spot in Ghana's World Cup squad.
Bruce is reported to be interested in Newcastle United striker Shola Ameobi.
Ameobi is out of contract at the end of this season and he has a World Cup with Nigeria to look forward to after breaking into their squad late in his career.
Hull assistant boss Steve Agnew has been at St James’ Park to check out the Toon stalwart, but it is unlikely that Alan Pardew would let him go, or Ameobi wanting to quit Newcastle now.
