Zuma back at SuperSport training
Football | Absa Premiership
Veteran Sibusiso Zuma has returned to training at SuperSport United for the first time this season having now recovered from a knee injury suffered almost six months ago.
The 38-year-old Zuma had a first full session on Saturday, officials said.
He has been out since the Nedbank Cup final in May when injury forced him off in extra time of the game against Kaizer Chiefs in Durban, leaving his side to finish with 10 men as they had already made their substitutions.
Zuma has undergone extensive rehabilitation in recent weeks but it has been a long road back for the former Bafana Bafana captain.
He is now in line for a return next Saturday when SuperSport host Moroka Swallows in their Telkom Knockout quarterfinal tie at Atteridgeville.
Zuma is now the oldest player in the Absa Premiership.
Last season he scored six times in 14 starts in all competitions for SuperSport, who say they will be using him judiciously over the coming campaign.
Zuma has eight months left on his contract with the former champions.
