REACTION: TIME TO TRAIN HARD
REACTION: TIME TO TRAIN HARD
The Blues have scored six but let in six in beating Sunderland and then losing in the Potteries in the past week, with set-pieces unusually a problem. Hazard, who netted twice on Wednesday and was again bright in attack yesterday, thinks it is important to learn lessons from those games but not dwell too long on defeat.
'It is collective I think, not one player particularly,' he says on the reasons why goals have been conceded.
'I think all players must be concentrated and try to give their best.
'I thought the first half against Stoke was very good, we scored first and after we conceded a goal from a corner again, we tried to win the game.
'Now we try to forget this game and give the maximum in training for the next games, and try to take three points at home in our next league game. A defeat is a defeat and if we forget that then we concentrate for the future.'
John Mikel Obi, who returned to the starting line-up on Saturday but watched Stoke grab a late winner from the bench having been substituted, also wants to look ahead.
'We were pushing to get the winner but then we left a little space, there was a counter attack and Stoke scored, and it was a good goal.' he notes.
'Now we want to top our Champions League group. We want to play well and hopefully we will win the game on Wednesday.'
