Man City's James Milner fears no team

MANCHESTER CITY midfielder James Milner has issued a ‘Bring It On’ warning to Europe’s super clubs.

Milner scored the winner in City’s astonishing 3-2 victory at holders Bayern Munich, crowning a brilliant comeback from 2-0 down.

Manuel Pellegrini’s side were within one goal of topping Group D, but the Chilean manager confessed he mistakenly thought his men needed to score twice more to topple Bayern from first place.
Even so, it was an epic win to shatter the German giants’ 26-match unbeaten run.
Second place means City could meet Spanish high flyers Real Madrid or Atletico Madrid in Monday’s draw for the last 16.

Atletico would be the favoured pairing, but Milner believes City’s win at the Allianz Arena would have made their rivals take notice.
He said: “We’ll take anyone. We will just concentrate on us.
“It’s going to be a tough team whoever we get, but we’ll take confidence from this and know we can progress.

“It couldn’t be tougher than Bayern. They are the reigning champions and I think they have been to three finals in the last four years, or something ridiculous like that.
“They’re obviously one of the top teams and have been the last few years, so to be able to come here and win is pleasing.
“Hopefully it shows the quality we have and gives us a big confidence boost going forward.”

City’s win was slightly marred by Pellegrini’s miscalculation, which possibly cost his side an easier draw as group winners.
Former Newcastle and Aston Villa star Milner added: “Obviously them being reigning champions and the manner in which we won was great.
“The way the game went, with us being 2-0 down, starting pretty poorly, and the character we showed to turn that around... it was pleasing to be part of that.”

“I’m not sure teams will want to face us after that. We just need to concentrate on our own game. But it is a big boost for us to be able to come here and win and score three goals because it’s important you can score goals in the knockout stages.”
Milner also believes the game could prove to be a pivotal point for England team-mate Joe Hart, who has been out of the side after a dip in form.
The midfielder is sure Hart will bounce back even better and that national boss Roy Hodgson will get a stronger goalkeeper.

Hart recovered from the shock of having two slammed past him in the opening 11 minutes to turn in an accomplished display.
Milner said: “Nothing has changed with him. Everybody has ups and downs in their careers. Nobody’s career goes in one nice straight line, you have peaks and troughs.

“It’s not easy when you’re in and out of the team, so to perform how he has when called upon is a great credit to him.
“He will come back stronger, absolutely. Not that you need this, and it’s not nice for anyone, but it makes you stronger.
“You learn from them and anything that your career then throws at you going forward, you can deal with it.”
